FAQ
Do you still have doubts before you get started?
We've gathered the most frequently asked questions here to guide you. And if you can't find your answer, write to us: we read all your messages and are always happy to help 🤍

Wools
Does wool make you itch?
- No 😊 We exclusively select high-quality fibers (mainly merino and premium blends) known for their softness. However, the feel depends on individual sensitivity: those with very sensitive skin often prefer to wear a light top or t-shirt underneath their knitwear. If you have very sensitive skin, we recommend our Merino Fingering, Merino & Silk, and Aube bases.
Can I machine wash my knitted garment?
- Yes, most of our yarns can be machine washed on a wool/delicate cycle in cold water (20°C maximum) with a special wool detergent.
However, absolutely avoid: high spin cycles, tumble drying, and hot water, which will cause the wool to felt. We provide detailed care instructions for each product, depending on the base.
My knitting is getting bigger after blocking, is that normal?
- It depends on the style, size, and stitch used. You'll find the details on each of our knitting patterns. As a guide, for a women's long-sleeved jersey sweater:
Size 34-38: approximately 5 to 7 balls of yarn
Size 40-44: approximately 7 to 9 balls of yarn
Size 46-52: approximately 9 to 12 balls of yarn
We always indicate the precise quantity recommended in each pattern sheet.
What does “sample” mean and is it really necessary?
- The swatch is a knitted square before starting your project to check your tension.
Yes, it's essential: two people using the same needles can end up with very different sizes. Without a gauge swatch, your sweater risks being too small… or much too big.
Why can the colors vary slightly from one ball of yarn to another?
- Our yarns are dyed in baths. Slight variations between batches are normal for a natural fiber. We recommend alternating two balls of yarn every two rows when changing balls to achieve a perfectly even result.

What buttons do you recommend for knitted vests?
- To ensure your buttons stay securely in the buttonholes of your knitted vests, we recommend using Sparkle, Moonlight, or Glitter 15mm buttons. For summer vests knitted in fine wool, you can also use Daisy buttons.

Knitting patterns
Are the patterns suitable for beginners?
- We always indicate the skill level (beginner, intermediate, advanced) on each product page. If you're a beginner, choose stockinette stitch patterns with fewer specific techniques. And above all: take your time 💓
Our models for complete beginners: Rosée DK, Rosée Cumulus, Lyvie or the Gaby slipover.
Step-by-step assembly videos accompany all our knitting and crochet patterns to clearly visualize each step.
Are the patterns in French?
- Yes, all our patterns are written in French, with detailed and structured step-by-step instructions. They are also available in English.
Are the patterns sent in paper or PDF format?
- Our patterns are available as downloadable PDFs immediately after purchase. You can print them at home or view them on a tablet.
How to choose the right size?
- Each pattern includes a measurement chart and ease instructions (more or less room). We recommend measuring a sweater you already like and comparing it to the final measurements given in the pattern.
What are positive and negative ease?
- Ease refers to the difference between your chest measurement and the final garment size.
Positive ease : the garment is larger than your measurements → loose and comfortable fit.
Negative ease : the garment is smaller than your measurements → the knit stretches and hugs the body (like a ribbed sweater).
It is therefore normal that the recommended size does not correspond to your ready-to-wear size: always rely on the measurements indicated in the pattern. Example: if the pattern indicates a positive ease of 5cm and your bust measurement is 95cm, you should choose the size closest to 100cm (i.e., 95 + 5).
Is the sample really necessary?
- Yes, absolutely. It allows you to check your tension and achieve the correct final size. Even with the recommended needles, every knitter knits differently. Don't hesitate to adjust the needle size (larger or smaller) according to your tension to obtain the correct gauge.
I'm stuck on one step, what should I do?
- First, carefully reread the relevant section: many answers can be found in the explanations that follow. If you still have questions, our customer service team is here to help; send us a message with the model number and a photo if needed.
