21Here is my third version of the Aldaia dress by Pauline Alice. This time, I was a real copycat and simple made the same one as Pauline modelled herself.
what is it?
Again, I referred you back to my first article to know all the good things I think about this pattern.
For this third version, I went out of my comfort zone. I really like the version Pauline modeled with crossover neckline and pencil skirt but I wasn’t sure that it will fit me as my hips are much wider than Pauline’s. But I really like it so I decided to give it a go. I ordered the same type of fabric (stripy ponte) and here I go!
To be honest, I don’t know whether I like it or not. My boyfriend loves it but me, I find that it emphases the part of me that I like the least.
how is it made?
I used a ponte milano with nice stripes but the quality is definitely not great.
which size is it?
Again, I sewn a size 36 enlarged to a 38 at the waist, the fit is perfect for me.
is it modified?
Not at all.
are you happy with it.
I don’t know, I am not sure this shape is the best for me. It is really a personal feeling, I love this type of dresses on others but on me, I am not sure it is flattering.
