Free tutorial – Beach cover-up

When you say beach, you think swimsuit, hat, sunglasses... All the essentials to pack in your suitcase to stay stylish even in hot weather.

To complete your outfit, today we're showing you how to make a "beach robe" to your measurements so you can quickly cover up between swims or to grab an ice cream.

A simple project to make in our Blue Garden or Gloria viscoses to match our Hello Sunshine lycra swimsuit of the same name.

And for a total Lise Tailor look, the shorts from the "I Love You" pattern will also be the perfect summer ally to wear over your swimsuit! Just lengthen them by 3cm to replace the lace.

And for those who prefer to cocoon, the "beach robe" can be transformed into a dressing gown for cooler summer evenings. It will be perfect as loungewear over our I Love You set.

You will have the freedom to choose its length, fullness and sleeve length.

The yardage:

This project adapts to your body shape and it's up to you to create it from A to Z by choosing its length, fullness and sleeve length. It is therefore difficult to define a yardage in advance.

To guide you on the amount of fabric to buy, define the length of the kimono you want in advance (for example 90cm) and multiply by 2 (90cm x 2 = 180 cm). Add 10cm as a precaution for seam allowances.

This is valid for a fabric with a directional print.
