Description
Description
The Effie knitting pattern
With Effie, you will discover 3 essential wool bases at Lise Tailor: fingering merino and silk mohair to make the hat and Cumulus for the mittens.
The Effie hat is designed for beginners: a simple and timeless pattern, knit in the round, seamlessly. It's worked from the bottom up: the brim is worked in half-twisted ribbing, then the body in stockinette stitch. Quick to make, it will soon become a winter essential, perfect as a gift or to wear yourself to stay warm during the cold season.
The Effie mittens are knit in the round, from the bottom up. The wrist and thumb are worked in half-twisted ribbing, while the top of the mittens is finished with a few rows of garter stitch for a sturdy finish. The thumb is shaped using simple increases, and the mittens knit up quickly with Cumulus yarn for a cozy and warm result.
