Opale Slipover - PDF
Description
Description
The Opale knitting pattern
The Opale slipover can be worn as a top for a spring look, or as a slipover for the transitional seasons. It is knit from the bottom up in the round in a pretty diamond lace stitch. The back and front pieces are then separated and knit flat. The neckline is created using short rows, which are then worked into the collar. The ruffles on the shoulders are worked last, after the shoulders have been joined.
Advanced beginner level: the Opale knitting pattern is not complicated to knit but still contains some techniques necessary for a nice drape, making it a perfect 2nd knitting project.
