Sale price8,00 €
In stock

The "A l'ombre des pins" top is a very simple and quick project. It is knit from the bottom up. The body is worked in 2x2 ribbing in the round. The bust is enhanced with increases, then the front and back are worked separately back and forth. The straps are worked in i-cord and then tied at the shoulder.

Motivated beginner level: the best. In the shade of the pines is not a very complex pattern but we do not recommend it as a first knitting project.

Wool: Merino Silk Lise Tailor (The yardages are detailed below)

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you still have doubts before you get started?
We've compiled the most frequently asked questions here to guide you. And if you still can't find your answer, check out our full FAQ below.

See the FAQ
Are the patterns suitable for beginners?

We always indicate the skill level (beginner, intermediate, advanced) on each product page. If you're a beginner, choose stockinette stitch patterns with fewer specific techniques. And above all: take your time đź’“

Our models for complete beginners: Rosée DK, Rosée Cumulus, Lyvie or the Gaby slipover.

Step-by-step assembly videos accompany all our knitting and crochet patterns to clearly visualize each step.

Are the patterns sent in paper or PDF format?

Our patterns are available as downloadable PDFs immediately after purchase. You can print them at home or view them on a tablet.

How to choose the right size?

Each pattern includes a measurement chart and ease instructions (more or less room). We recommend measuring a sweater you already like and comparing it to the final measurements given in the pattern.

What are positive and negative ease?

Ease refers to the difference between your bust measurement and the final garment size.

  • Positive ease: the garment is larger than your measurements → loose and comfortable fit.
  • Negative ease: the garment is smaller than your measurements → the knit stretches and hugs the body (like a ribbed sweater).
It is therefore normal that the recommended size does not correspond to your ready-to-wear size: always rely on the measurements indicated in the pattern. Example: if the pattern indicates a positive ease of 5cm and your bust measurement is 95cm, you should choose the size closest to 100cm (i.e., 95 + 5).

Is the sample really necessary?

Yes, absolutely. It allows you to check your tension and achieve the correct final size. Even with the recommended needles, every knitter knits differently. Don't hesitate to adjust the needle size (larger or smaller) according to your tension to obtain the correct gauge.
