Our Lise Tailor merino is a soft, warm, and durable yarn, perfect for all your knitting projects, from baby clothes to sweaters. Knit it alone, double-stranded, or combined with our mohair.

100% unshrinkable merino - made in Italy

⚠️ Our Merino base has evolved with a new production choice in Italy, closer to our commitments. Slight variations in texture and appearance may exist compared to the old Merino base, although the colors remain identical. If you have skeins from the old base, they can be knitted with the new base to create stripes or jacquard. However, for a solid color, it will not be possible to mix the old and new bases.

Description

Lise Tailor's exclusive Merino wool is the perfect yarn for all your knitting projects: sweaters, cardigans, and also accessories such as hats, scarves, or shawls. Soft and warm, our merino will be the perfect ally to snuggle up in a handmade knit and ward off the chill of winter or mid-season. It is made of 2 plies twisted together, which gives it good durability.
The softness of our merino makes it perfectly suitable for baby clothes for little ones.
For a thicker project, mix it with our mohair yarn or knit it double, holding 2 strands at once.

Complementary products: All Red Pooy colored buttons will pair wonderfully with this wool.

We also offer exclusive knitting patterns, designed to highlight the fineness and softness of this yarn.

Can I machine wash my knit?

Yes, most of our yarns are machine washable Wool/delicate program, cold setting (maximum 20°C) with a special wool detergent.
However, absolutely avoid: high spin cycles, tumble drying, and hot water, which will cause the wool to felt. We provide detailed care instructions for each product, depending on the base.

My knitting is getting bigger after blocking, is that normal?

Yes! Wool is a living natural fiber. After washing, the stitches relax and the knit takes on its final size: this is even an essential step to obtain the right look and dimensions.

Why can the colors vary slightly from one ball of yarn to another?

Our yarns are dyed in baths. Slight variations between batches are normal for a natural fiber. We recommend alternating two balls of yarn every two rows when changing balls to achieve a perfectly even result.

What buttons do you recommend for knitted vests?

To ensure your buttons stay securely in the buttonholes of your knitted vests, we recommend using Sparkle, Moonlight, or Glitter 15mm buttons. For summer vests knitted in fine wool, you can also use Daisy buttons.
