The Hope hat comes in two versions, introducing you either to knitting or crochet. A simple and classic winter accessory.
The techniques:
Beginner crochet: single crochet, half double crochet.
Begginer knitting: Knitting in the round, 1/1 ribbing, decreases..
Sizes:
Gauge:
Ribbing stitch: 10 cm (4”) = 14 sts x 12 rows (hook size 4.5 mm)
Or
1/1 ribbing: 10 cm (4”) = 16 sts x 20 rows (needles size 4.5 mm)
Yarn:
Cumulus (78% Kid mohair – 13% Mérinos SW – 9% Polyamide) 100 m + per 50 gr
Approximately:
• Knitting: 75 g (150 m / 164 yd) – 2 balls of yarn
• Crochet: 75 g (150 m / 164 yd) – 2 balls of yarn
Notions:
Crochet hook 4.5 mm (Use the crochet size you need to achieve gauge)
Size US 7 / 4.5 mm circular needles, 20 cm [8’’] (Use the needle size you need to achieve gauge)
