Malya sweater – PDF

Description

Meet Malya: 

The Malya sweater is worked from the top down. We first knit a back panel back and forth, then pick up stitches to build the shoulders before joining at the neckline. The central cable is then created on the front panel. Afterward, you will need to assemble the back and front to work the body in the round down to the bottom. The sleeves and collar are constructed last. 

Intermediate to confirmed level: Malya is knitted in bicolour brioche so you need to be familiar with this technique.

The techniques: 

• Two-color brioche stitch,
• Circular knitting,
• Brioche stitch increases and decreases,
• 1×1 ribbing,
• Picking up stitches,
• Provisional cast on. 

Sizes: 

Brioche stitch : 4’’ / 10 cm = 16 sts x 26 rows
1/1 ribbing : 4’’ / 10 cm = 24 sts x 30 rows
Adjust your needle size to achieve the correct gauge.

Mérinos fingering. (100% superwash merino) 175 m + for 50 gr
