Backstage #4

THE NEWS...

New weekend, new launching…
After the great surprise of the Lise Tailor wools launching,
we launched on Saturday 16 October
the second part of our Autumn collection.

RETURN ON THE CREATION

A new material:

Cotton Canvas...

Many of you asked us to put together your own accessory kits. So we responded to your request with the launch of our fabric by the metre, our fleece, the matching cotton linings, our pretty rose gold zips and the sale of our accessory patterns in pdf format. After several months of reflection, we decided to stop the ready-to-sew kits, which, we admit it, were becoming complicated to manage and we could not offer them for resale because of the cost of design. We also wanted to showcase our beautiful designs to create the accessories you wanted to let your creativity run wild. As our canva can also be used for clothing, this convinced us to go in this direction and not limit this material to accessories. During the tests, the material immediately made us want to make skirts, jackets, trousers … Some people are already asking us if canva will be a regular material, if there will be one canva fabric or several for each collection… to be honest, nothing is decided yet ! If the craze of the first days lasts, the canva could possibly be a recurring product with new patterns…

RETURN ON THE CREATION

Plain fabrics, the Dotties…

As you know, the essence of Lise Tailor lies in our beautiful, exclusive and ephemeral fabrics. Each season, our prints make us feel vibrant and bring life to our wardrobe. As a fan of patterns, sometimes you need to find a plain top or bottom for a harmonious outfit. That’s how Dottie fabrics were born ! To be worn alone or mixed according to your desires, our feathered viscose will allow you to create timeless basics. The feathering of these fabrics allows them to reflect the light and adds a touch of style without overdoing it ! The colour black has arrived at Lise Tailor and allows you to sew your little black dress like we did (here our Comet pattern). We can already tell you that this is a permanent product that you will be able to find throughout the year.
Will there be new colours? Nothing is decided yet…

THEIR SEWING PATTERN, OUR FABRIC …

Focus on our favourite designer: Les patrons de Mamie

Les patrons de Mamie

Blouse Suzette in viscose Olga

Suzette is the first pattern of this young haberdasher who opened her shop in Angoulême. A slightly retro blouse with a romantic and bohemian look that goes perfectly with our Olga viscose. We love the little ruffles at the neckline and the sweetheart neckline.

Mathilde’s good idea is to explain on her blog how to transform this blouse into a dress with 3 different versions : the classic one, the candy pink one and the maxi-dress. This pattern has been designed to fit all body types and ages.

Tell us in comments what your next sewings will be in canva and dottie.

See you soon ! We wish you a very nice day !
