Today we celebrate love! We wish you a very beautiful Valentine’s Day, enjoy those you love and make love live all around you. Unlike last year, this year there is no capsule for this particular event. We like novelty and we love to offer you different creations according to our inspirations. A year ago we unveiled our project “I love you”. The backstage section had not yet appeared on the blog and we had not discussed with you the underside of this event. It must be said that with 4 hands at the time we could not do everything. It is with pleasure that we offer a retrospective of our first sewing pattern who opened the door to this fabulous adventure.

Just a year ago we unveiled our Valentine’s Day capsule with our very first pattern. We invite you today to come back to this fabulous memory and behind the scenes of this capsule dear to our hearts.
The birth of the project
November 2020
Lise D. has just joined Lise Tailor to continue writing the fabulous story of the brand. During a conversation, Lise P. shows her new colleague the reasons why she had a crush (literally ❤️) some time before. This soft and romantic motif evoking love seemed obvious for a special Valentine’s Day capsule. Ideas fuse and follow each other on this motif…
The accessories
For the occasion there would of course be accessories, as Lise P. used to offer for each collection. It was the perfect opportunity to launch the vanity, a project Lise P. had already been working on for several weeks/months. For the anecdote, the final vanity was finally slightly modified compared to that of the photos. We preferred to make it wider so that it would be easier and more pleasant to sew.
The sewing Pattern
With the “I love you” viscose, they wanted to push the project even further: sew pretty pajamas. With its romantic notes, they imagined this motif for the interior. Through her past experiences, Lise D. possessed the codes of lingerie and the rules of patronage. It was decided, Lise Tailor would launch her first sewing pattern in February 2021: short pajamas with a pretty camisole with thin straps and pretty bows, a V-neckline to make it comfortable and a bit sexy. This model has been designed for beginners and so that everyone can have fun creating.
It was the brand’s first steps in patterns and we had to find a printer for the pattern sheets and create a cover from scratch. An exhaustive list of what the cover should contain was defined to create the ideal cover for us: a technical drawing, a photo, the necessary footage quickly visible, a short description of the model, the name, the difficulty and the pattern. The cover had to be able to close with a Velcro to slip its transferred pieces into it and be able to be opened and closed at will.
The enveloppe
The cover had to be pretty, a beautiful object that we want to keep. The flap has been scalloped to reflect the girly spirit of the brand. This cover has since evolved, we are sometimes forced to learn on the job. The too thick initial pouch was damaged during transport, later a new, thinner imprint was created.
Exclusive trim
The attention to detail has always been at the heart of the brand’s concerns and for this project too, it needed the extra detail: the lace. Produced in France, it has been designed exclusively to blend perfectly with the fabric.
The launch

The DNA of the brand resided in the fact of offering ready-to-sew kits for sewing with complete peace of mind. 150 kits have been prepared with love and patience. We had to cut the fabric, the elastic, the lace, the iron-on and slip in the printed pattern and the thread. A gigantic job for a big launch. In less than a morning, all of our kits were sold. The complex logistics of this project did not allow us to sustain this operation. This is how we decided to subsequently offer the fabric, the pattern and the lace individually.
I love you today…
Since then, you have honored our “I love you” fabric with magnificent dresses or blouses. We loved this pattern but weren’t 100% sure you’d wear it all the time. It was a wonderful surprise to see it made your own so quickly. We were particularly touched by the beautiful Caprioccioli dress sewn by Estelle from Apolline Patterns. To meet your many requests, this fabric has even been reprinted 3 times. It is always difficult to know in advance whether a pattern will please a little, a lot or crazy. This viscose, like all our fabrics, was exclusive and ephemeral. You won’t find any more on our shop (perhaps at some of our retailers) but the pattern continues to live its life with all the magnificent fabrics you choose. The last time we sewed this pattern, we chose Comète viscose.
Several hacks were also offered to you: my pretty summer dress and the addition of a button band to the camisole. The lace trim is still on sale and we see it appear on some very pretty projects.

Estelle recently released her first book for sewing beginners. You want to get started but you don’t dare? This book is for you! Inside you will find 3 easy patterns to create your first clothes, including this magnificent skirt. It’s not just an elastic skirt! Estelle worked on the pattern to highlight the silhouette and thus minimize the gathers at the waist.

The little detail we love is this fake button placket on the side. The little sewing extra that is very easy to do. Just simply sew your pretty buttons directly onto the skirt. Estelle presents this model in detail on her blog. These patterns range from 32 to 48 in the book and pieces for sizes 48 to 58 are available on her site. We extend our congratulations to Estelle for this beautiful work.
