Today we take you behind the scenes of the creation of our sewing pattern. We reveal to you how our creativity led us to this project. We return to these madness contests on Instagram. Your enthusiasm touches us and we are very happy to be able to spoil you for this occasion. Many thanks for following us and sharing this adventure which, without you, would be nothing. In our hectic days, we took a few hours to enjoy the visit of a client dear to our hearts.
THE SEWING PATTERN: WHY AND HOW?
The birth of the project
Everything was born from our desire to develop the brand, we are always looking for good ideas to expand our business and satisfy our creative desires. We wanted to expand our product line to extend the Lise Tailor experience in your workshop. Our wish: to surprise you while remaining in our core business: DIY! The people of Lyon will see this as a sign, it is this last December 8 that we are looking for this new project.
The sewing pattern
Our patterns are ephemeral and we sometimes had trouble illustrating the brand as the worlds of our patterns are so varied. We therefore wanted a strong pattern that took up the company’s markers and that we could use permanently.
Our specifications were very precise for this project. Of course, there would be pink and flowers – the hallmark of Lise Tailor. We wanted to include everything that makes up the world of sewing: sewing machine, tape measure, pin bracelet, scissors, thimble, safety pins, buttons, spools of thread… The style had to be a bit retro and pretty, harmoniously arranged. “Couture addict ❤️” and “Love sewing ❤️” perfectly illustrate our passion. The use of French and English allows us to address everyone and responds to our desire to open up internationally.

The creation of the products
Once the pattern was finalized we thought about the items we could develop. We absolutely wanted to create a tape measure and a cloth-covered notebook. A long search for suppliers followed. We had already printed stickers and we wanted to renew the experience by isolating our adorable illustrations. It must be said that we love sticking them everywhere. Notepads were a no-brainer! We always have each of the extendable “to do” lists and our sewing pattern makes things a little sweeter. Scissors were already on our wish list. Your feedback had already pushed us to improve our production process to offer you a more qualitative article. We also did print tests of our sewing pattern on the canvas. A pretty pouch to store our couture bazaar is a “must-have”. Unfortunately, we had to make choices in our production. Everything is ready and we will print this canvas as soon as the time is right. Know that each of your comments, messages or likes means a lot to us. As you have seen, we are trying new formats to animate this network: real jumping, sewing or other crazy laughs… we give everything!!! We thought about how to celebrate this success with you. A contest that was too simple, that didn’t suit us. So even if it means making things big, we opted for a week of competitions no less than that. The time of a lunch
This week we had the honor of having Carine’s visit 💕 She’s been following us from the start and she’s one of our loyal customers. She is as talented as she is kind! Behind the scenes, at each collection we wonder what Carine will order, what will she sew with this fabric? We follow her ready on the networks to each of her creations are perfect! Always sewn or knitted with great taste for her or her family. She came to visit us in Lyon and over lunch we took pleasure in suspending time and chatting. Just a few days ago, Julie launched the first part of her pattern collection called Cadenza. We are under the spell of this Noëlle model which can be sewn in a dress or blouse version. The sexy side of its deep V neckline is softened by a pretty yoke. This model is available as a blouse or a dress with 3/4 or short sleeves.
